I am a storyteller. I communicate using words and images that have manifested in the form of articles, books, lectures, television and radio appearances, and photographic works for clients, exhibition, and publications. I am moved by beauty, motivated by learning, and inspired by creativity.

I began my career in visual arts four decades ago as a documentary television producer, director, and editor, before specializing in architecture, interior design and landscape design photography. Since then, my work has taken me to over 50 countries from Antarctica to New Zealand, and my images have appeared in more than 60 publications worldwide. I have also produced three commissioned photography books (A Connecticut Christmas; Connecticut Waters and Connecticut Gardens) from conception to completion; and written over 300 articles that have been featured in the New York Times Conde Nast Traveler, Lonely Planet, Old House Journal, Fine Art Connoisseur, Town & Country, and others.

Throughout my diverse career, from marketing and promoting my books and photography services, to pitching and writing articles, to designing websites, and from single-handedly operating every aspect of my own successful photography business for the past 25 years, I have gained much insight and knowledge I am excited to share. I am dedicated to mentoring aspiring and mid-career photographers and can assist with everything from the practical, to the technical, to the prolific.

I am a long-time Member of the Association of Independent Architectural Photographers, and the American Society of Media Photographers, and I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication from Emerson College.
