As a multi-disciplinary artist with extensive teaching experience, I offer a unique perspective in creative consultation. My journey as a mother-artist-teacher has endowed me with a rich tapestry of experiences that inform my approach to critique and portfolio development.
My paintings, assemblages, and new media works have been featured in galleries throughout the country, recently at Woman Made Gallery, Fountain Street Gallery, Upstream Gallery, and The Cultural Center of Cape Cod. In 2021, I had the honor of becoming an Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation grantee which supported the development and exhibition of a series of performance pieces exploring the precarious nature of identity. My work as a professional artist has also informed my teaching practice which led to a nationally recognized Scholastics Award for Excellence in Teaching (2018).
My approach celebrates the plurality of artistic identities and recognizes creativity as an abundant, ever-growing resource. I am dedicated to nurturing the creative spirit in others, helping artists refine their vision and effectively communicate their unique perspectives. I have a deeply ingrained drive to share what I have explored and continue developing through life-long learning. After earning my BA in Studio Art and later, BS in Art Education, I went on to earn an M.A. at Boston University in Artist-Teaching, M.F.A in Painting with Savannah College of Art and Design, and I am currently pursuing my A.L.M. in Museum Studies with Harvard.
